About College

The Institution Bahubali College of Engineering (BCE) was established during 1997 by His Holiness Jagadguru Karmayogi Swasthishree Charukeerti Bhattaraka Swamiji. Presently the Institution is running under the Chairmanship of His Holiness Madhabinava Charukeerti Bhattaraka Swamiji who is heading the S.S.D.J. Jnana Prasaraka Sangha which is running Educational Institutions from Primary education to Graduate and Postgraduate levels in various disciplines / fields of study. The college is situated in Shravanabelagola away from the urban crowd with 26 acres of lush green environment. The College consists of three blocks for teaching-learning process and a separate Boys and Girls Hostels.  The College has gained experience and endeavours to produce bright young men and women for the millennium with excellence in technical knowledge. The BCE-Shravanabelagola has been recognized by the Government of Karnataka(GoK) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE),New Delhi and it is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The institute has been conferred with a Jain Religious Minority Status. It is a  self-financed Institution. 

 
 

SSDJJP Sangha®

Sri Shravanabelagola Digambar Jain Jnana Prasaraka (SSDJJP) Sangha is a registered Jain educational and charitable society based in Shravanabelagola, Karnataka, established to promote value-based education and community upliftment under the principles of Digambara Jainism.

 
 
 

Overview

  • The SSDJJP Sangha was founded on November 18, 1982, under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, following the inspiration of His Holiness Jagadguru Karmayogi Swasthishree Charukeerti Bhattaraka Mahaswamiji during the Mahamastakabhisheka 1981 at Shravanabelagola.
  • It serves as the educational wing of the Shravanabelagola Digambar Jain Math (SDJM) and functions as a registered charitable society and religious minority institution recognized by the Government of Karnataka.
  • The Sangha’s mission is to provide quality education rooted in character building, humanitarian values, and Jain ethical principles, especially for students from Shravanabelagola and surrounding rural areas.

The Sangha manages a range of educational institutions spanning from primary schooling to professional and technical education, many of which are specially aimed at community development:

  1. Sri Ambika Higher Primary School (est. 1982).
  2. Sri SN High School (est. 1990).
  3. SN Pre-University College (est. 1994).
  4. Bahubali College of Engineering (est. 1997).
  5. Sri Bahubali Polytechnic (est. 1987).
  6. Bahubali School of Nursing (est. 2001).
  7. Ambika English Medium High School (est. 2001).
  8. Bahubali Institute of Paramedical Sciences (est. 2024).

Many of these institutions are Jain religious minority institutions and are recognized or approved by appropriate governing bodies (e.g., AICTE for technical education).
